Distilled water is not acceptable because it retains most of the fluoride originally in the water. This is especially important if you are on dialysis because the National Kidney Foundation has reported several deaths from fluoride in water. Distilled water will not do, because only a little over half the fluoride is removed. Cities should discontinue fluoridation because of the likelihood of future liability suits along with concern for their citizen’s health.
